The Gulf Coast Shipbuilding Partnership (GCSP)

A Partnership Between CARES of MS, Inc. and

Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding

The Gulf Coast Shipbuilding Partnership is housed at Northrop Grumman's Pascagoula Facility.  The Partnership is responsible for the following programs:

  • The administration of the ACT WorkKeys Assessments for Incumbent Worker Training, Apprentice Program Hiring, NGS Co-op Program, Craft Specific Training
  • NGS Fire Watch Training for all shipyard crafts
  • The Transitions Program-in conjunction with the Partners With Industry (PWI) grant awarded to CARES of MS, the GCSP helps implement the Transitions Program, a program in which students with educational barriers (i.e. Learning Disabilities) are hired into entry-level jobs in the shipyard.  For more information on this program contact the PWI staff at 769-2323 ext. 19 or 20.
  • Computer-Based Safety Training
  • Basic Computer Skills Training
