Building Shipbuilders

A special project partnership between Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding (NGS, Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District and Cares of MS, Inc.)

This program allows you the opportunity to prepare for your GED while working.  NGS offers excellent pay and benefits.

Qualifications for the Program:

  • Must be between the ages of 18-21
  • Must be a high school dropout
  • Must have been out of school a minimum of 12 months
  • Able to pass a company physical and background check
  • Available to attend two weeks of Pre-Employment Training
  • Must meet Workforce Investment Act (WIA) eligibility requirements
