Teachers Assistants Assessment Program

The WorkKeys Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants provides a valid, field-proven way to boost elementary education in the United States, in accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act.

The current schedule for testing is:

• Every third Thursday of the month, with the exception of days that fall on a holiday
• The next assessment will be NOVEMBER 20, 2008
• THERE WILL BE NO TESTING IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER!
• The testing starts at 6:00 p.m. for those that are taking the FULL battery or the reading portion only.  The math portion starts at 6:45.  The writing starts at 7:45.
• If you have signed up to take all three portions of the exam, please be ready to start testing at 6:00

Assessments will be administered at the CARES of Mississippi Office at 2129 Canty Street, Pascagoula, Mississippi.  From HWY 90, go south on Market St, Then right on Ingalls Avenue, then right on Canty Street.  First building on the left after the curve.  Or visit www.mapquest.com

Cost of the assessments are $20 individually OR $60 for the three assessments required (reading, math, and writing).  Payment is due at testing.

NOTE: A 30 day retesting rule applies as dictated by ACT.

WE WILL COME TO YOU...If your school can arrange for a minimum of twelve (12) assessment takers and have adequate space for testing, or staff can come to your school to provide assessment services.  Contact staff for more detail.
